In my opinion, the Battle of Stalingrad was the most significant turning point for the Allies in WWII. The soviets began to believe in themselves after 91,000 German troops were taken prisoners. As soon as Germany was defeated and no longer had the manpower to cope with the Russians due to their loss of men, resources, food and equipment, the Allies got stronger. It gave them the hope and motivation to keep fighting, knowning that they had a chance of defeating the Germans once and for all. In the incident of Germany winning this battle, they would have been able to mobilize troops over in Russia which would have made them much stronger than they already were. If they were not defeated by that time they quickly would have advanced and taken over all of Europe. The Battler of Stalingrad prevented this from happening because it weakened and knocked down Germany, built up the Allies which resulted in various other turning points following this specific battle. Therefor, the German defeat at Stalingrad was the most important turning point for the Allies in WWII. It ensured that the Allies were strong enough to fight back and help other countries gain back their power to fight off Germany.
